The Phillies 2012 Minor League Seasons Are Over

With Reading’s elimination in the Eastern Division Eastern League Playoffs, the Phillies farm teams minor league seasons came to an end.  The R-Phillies were the only team to make the playoffs but the Lehigh Valley IronPigs and the Clearwater Threshers battled right to the end of the regular season before they were eliminated from playoff contention.  Below are several newspaper accounts which sum up this season for the IronPigs, the R-Phillies, the  BlueClaws and the Crosscutters:

In the near future my reviews of the Clearwater Threshers and GCL Phillies seasons will be included in the “Baker’s Dozen” of the 13 most interesting 2012 highlights from the minor league games which Baseball Betsy and I attended this season.
