The Minor League Spring Training Camp Schedule

We have had requests for the Phillies minor league spring training camp schedule.  If you are in the Tampa Bay area during the next several weeks stop by for games in Clearwater, Tampa, Dunedin or Bradenton.  The guys will appreciate it and you get to see them close up.   Just yesterday after the one game was over I had to pass by the rehabbing Chace Numata and gave him a pat on the shoulder and told him to hang in there as he was doing an agility drill with a trainer on the walkway exit.  He said everything is “good”.

Usually two or three game are taking place at the same time in each location.  Every play is right in front of you and foul balls are flying every where from the various fields.  You can watch the Phillies Front Office personnel in action studying their talent.  The players are being coached up by the on field staff.  Scouts from various other organizations are working overtime to find or project a hidden gem or two. You even might run into  an opening day MLB roster guy getting in his work.  And even run into Baseball Betsy and I trying to make sense of it all.

It’s great baseball theatre at an even better price!  Remember the schedule and times are subject to change at the whim of the Phillies, the changing weather patterns or when the umps show up!

Betsy will also be posting the new workgroup lists as they become available, so be sure to check in with her for all the updates. You can click HERE for her site.

About Baseball Ross

I have been a faithful Phillies follower all my life. Today I am most intrigued by those players in the minor league system who work every day of the year to make it to the Show. This is what this blog is mostly all about. To read more, click here: https://baseballross.wordpress.com/2012/02/05/how-i-got-started-in-baseball/
