Breaking Out With Phillies Outfield Prospect Aaron Brown

MLB Pipeline recently called Aaron Brown one of two leading breakout candidates for the 2015 Phillies minor league season. See HERE.   He might have already broken out after quickly showing us his arm, glove, bat and legs in a inning of play on Thursday afternoon.

The Phillies minor league teams had a camp day on Thursday but action was a plenty at the Carpenter Complex.  We did not get there until mid-afternoon but we got there in plenty of time to watch right fielder Aaron Brown put on a show and it did not take long to see that Brown is one of the Phillies top stars of the future.

In only ten or so minutes on Ashburn Field Brown made a catch, threw a BB to third, then came to be bat and lined a single, SEE HERE, and stole second base.  It never takes long to recognize greatness on a baseball field. But in ten minutes, come on!

Yesterday, on a back field at the Carpenter Complex in a ten minute time span during a slow afternoon of camp, spring training baseball, may have been the exact moment that Aaron Brown had his breakout game.
