Lakewood’s Ranfi Casimiro and Deivi Grullon and Reading’s Dylan Cozens Are Finishing “Strong”!

It’s always important to finish strong.  The minor league regular season will end during the Labor Day weekend.   Several of our favorite Phillies minor league players are finishing the regular season very strong.

On Sunday Lakewood’s Ranfi Casimiro took a two-hit shutout into the seventh inning. After the BlueClaws scored seven runs in the top of the seventh inning to extend the lead over Greensboro to 11-0, Cassie was charged with four runs in the bottom of the inning after coming back out after sitting on the bench between innings for over half an hour.  He did pick up the win.  In the second half of the Sally League he is now  6-2 in 11 starts. With one start remaining in the season Casimiro is finishing strong!

Casimiro’s batterymate Deivi Grullon has taken off with the bat after the recent birth of his child.  He hit a grand slam in the Sunday’s Lakewood win and then hit a second long ball last night to go 6 for 9 with 8 RBI’s in his last two games..  In his last ten games he is hitting .419 with ten RBI’s.  Grullon is finishing strong.

Last week right fielder Dylan Cozen got the call from A+ Clearwater to AA Reading after an injury to outfielder Nick Williams.  All he has done in four games is go 7 for 15 with two homers and 8 RBI’s.  Cozens is finishing strong. Watch HERE for Cozens second home run in four AA games as Reading clinches a spot in the Eastern League’s playoffs yesterday .

Casimiro, Grullon and Cozens are ending the 2015 regular season very “strong”.
