What makes blogging fun is when you are right! And I am right about Rhys Hoskins and Zach Green abilities to go deep.
Hoskins hit a solo long ball for Reading yesterday to tie teammate Dylan Cozens for the lead in minor league home runs with 19 long balls. Reading won 6-5 over Akron.
Also yesterday Zach Green hit a three-run home run for Clearwater for his ninth of the season in its 7-4 win over Brevard County.
Not to be outdone Lakewood’s Wilson Garcia went deep in the tenth inning for the first time since the 2013 season in the Venezuelan Summer League for an 8-7 win in Greenville S.C.

It’s now the half way point in the 140-game minor league season and Hoskins and Cozens are on pace to hit 38 homers, Zach Green at least 18 long balls and Jose Pujols who leads all of low A baseball with Lakewood is pacing at 26 home runs for the season.
