The lineup is out for tomorrow’s Phillies first spring training game. It’s a seven-inning scrimmage against the University of Tampa at renamed Spectrum Field.
To open the 2015 spring training season the U of T Spartans stunned the Phillies 6-2. The Phillies went on to finish 36 games under .500 that year losing 99 games.
Last season they defeated the Spartans 8-3 but went on to finish 20 games under .500 for the 2016 season. Read HERE. So improvement is slowly taking place but .500 still might be a bit off for the Phillies in 2017.
