Henri Lartigue Continues To Rip The Cover Off The Ball For the Clearwater Threshers

It’s been an up and down season for the Phillies, High A affiliate in the Florida State League.  Last night’s game was no exception for the .500 team.  After a Sunday win against Charlotte scoring eight runs and blasting out 15 hits in a dominating 8-3 win, Monday game was just the opposite for the hapless Threshers.

In last night’s game, the Threshers were meeting the Dunedin Blue Jays with both teams fighting for a playoffs spot in the second half of the Florida State League. One team came to play and the other just showed up and went through the motions in the 7-0 win for the Blue Jays.

One Threshers player continues to impress through “thick and thin” and that is catcher Henri Lartigue.  Though the Threshers only had four hits in the game, Lartigue slashed a line drive double to show he really belongs at a higher level. Watch HERE.

Henri Lartigue

Henri made the long night at the antiquated, soon to be remodeled, Dunedin Stadium all worthwhile. His play is one of the major reasons we motivate ourselves go to see them play!

We made the three block trip back to our house after the game, glad we were there and hope Henri soon gets the call up to AA or AAA.  He has earned it the old fashion way with his .289/.366/427 slash line for the season and hitting .325 with 7 RBIs and a homer over his last ten games.

About Baseball Ross

I have been a faithful Phillies follower all my life. Today I am most intrigued by those players in the minor league system who work every day of the year to make it to the Show. This is what this blog is mostly all about. To read more, click here: https://baseballross.wordpress.com/2012/02/05/how-i-got-started-in-baseball/
