The Phillies have only 10 games left in Grapefruit League action and two of out favorite players have stood out. One of them, Dylan Cozens, made a brief cameo with the Phillies last season and has shown in 2019 major league spring training that he belongs in the big leagues.
Dylan has hit four homers in only 31 at bats this Spring. No other Phillies player has hit more that two homers this spring. Only three players this spring in the MLB including the Yankees Aaron Judge have hit more homers and that number is five. Project what Cozen has done this spring over a full season, he would be a leader in the major leagues in homers.
Watch Cozens’ second spring training game home run against the Toronto Blue Jays in Dunedin, the day the Phillies signed Bryce Harper, HERE.
We alway knew Darick Hall could do it. He hit 30 home runs last season in only 146 games combining his total home runs with Clearwater Threshers, Reading and in the Arizona Fall League. Though the Phillies have allowed him to have only three at bats in major league spring training games so far, Darick has gone 2 for 3 with a game tying ninth inning home run and three RBIs in his brief chances to show what he can do.
Watch Hall’s home run HERE.
The Phillies have two left-handed power bats all but ready for the Show and do not know what to do with them. Let’s hope sometime this season they both get a chance to prove what they can do at the major league level!
