Bohm, Maton and Stokes Power the Threshers to Sixth Straight Win

The long balls were flying in and out of Spectrum Field last night. The Clearwater Threshers have now won six in a row.  They downed the Lakeland Flying Tigers in a 6-3 win thanks to the combined six RBIs from the power hitters in the Threshers infield including third baseman, Alec Bohm (1 rbi), shortstop, Nick Maton (2 rbi) and first baseman, Madison Stokes (3 rbi).

Bohm was testing the limits of Spectrum Field by backing up the Flying Tigers outfielders to its deepest parts twice. He went 3 for 4 with a two doubles and a single in showing why he was a No. draft pick. Watch his RBI double, HERE. He is hitting .345 with a .937 OPS in his 13 High A games.

Not to be outdone, the hot Nick Maton went 3 for 5 including a two-run homer that went clear out of Spectrum Field to right.  Nick has hit 18 for 33 in his last eight games to raise his average for the season to .324, fourth best in the FSL. He is hitting an amazing .548 (17 for 31) with runners in scoring position this season. Watch his homer HERE.

Madison Stokes is quietly having a solid season. He drove in three runs including a two-run homer in the eight inning which landed up on the berm in left center in the eight inning. Watch HERE.

Right now, the Threshers are getting a nice blend of power hitting. In the last three games of the six game winning streak they have hit seven home runs.
