The Threshers Could Come up with Only Two Hits and Were Shutout 1-0 in Wednesday’s Game

I was really looking forward to Wednesday’s afternoon Threshers game against Jupiter after Tuesday night’s thrilling walk off win. The game yesterday turned out to be a waste my time. They could muster only two hits and were shutout 1-0 by the Hammerheads. Read HERE.

The Threshers starting pitcher, Julian Garcia, did pitch a good game allowing only a home run and striking out six in six inning of work. His velocity on his strikeouts ranged between 81 mph and 91 mph.

Zach Warren came on and pitched the seventh and eight innings striking out three. Grant Dyer finished the game in the ninth striking out two more.

Catcher Rodolfo Duran made a nice throw to get a runner trying to steal second base.  He has yet to commit an error this season behind the plate. On the other hand, he has slumped badly this season with the bat. Last season for Lakewood, he hit 18 homers in the regular season and hit three more in the playoffs. So far this season he has no homers and is hitting only .202.

About Baseball Ross

I have been a faithful Phillies follower all my life. Today I am most intrigued by those players in the minor league system who work every day of the year to make it to the Show. This is what this blog is mostly all about. To read more, click here: https://baseballross.wordpress.com/2012/02/05/how-i-got-started-in-baseball/
