Two Phillies Minor League Teams Figure Out How to Win Games, the Major League Team Should Take Notice!

We all know the Phillies are floundering and can’t score runs at the major league level, Read HERE. On the other hand, several of it’s minor league teams at the same time have taken off by using three Grand Slams to win games in about a 24-hour period this week.

Thanks to two Grand Slams, one hit by Nick Maton on Wednesday night in Bradenton and another hit by Jhailyn Ortiz at Spectrum Field on Thursday night, the Clearwater Threshers won two games by easy margins against the Marauders and the Daytona Tortugas in Florida State League action. Not to be outdone in Lakewood, Luis Garcia hit a Grand Slam also on Thursday night allowing the BlueClaws to win a 5-4 game over the West Virginia Power.

Maybe the big league Phillies should study the tapes of how its minor league teams are winning games with the long ball. They make it look so easy!
