Phillies Top Power Prospects Darick Hall, Alec Bohm and Jhailyn Ortiz All Go Deep In Wins Last Night

Three of the top power hitters in the Phillies farm system all went deep  last night. Two in Reading and the other in Clearwater but they sure would look good in the same lineup.

Darick Hall and Alec Bohm powered Reading to a 5-4 win over Trenton in Eastern League action. Jhailyn Ortiz powered the Clearwater 7-2 win over Palm Beach in the Florida State League.

Jhailyn Ortiz

Jhailyn Ortiz hits 15th home run of the year

Darick is second in the EL in homers with 15 and leads the league in RBIs with 56. Jhailyn is second in homers with 15 and RBIs with 50 in the FSL. They would represent the power and run scoring ability the Phillies sorely need in their major league lineup sooner than later.

It would be interesting to see them both playing in the same lineup along with Alec Bohm, who went deep last night for the 11th time combined with three different teams, before the 2019 season is over.

The Phillies do not seem to have any plans on promoting Hall to AAA with Austin Listi now blocking his way at first base, there. The next best thing would be to keep Hall at first, Bohm at third and have Ortiz in the corner outfield for Reading for the rest of the season.

What a lineup that would be at the corner infield and outfield positions of the Reading lineup! We would even have to make a special trip to Reading to see that!

About Baseball Ross

I have been a faithful Phillies follower all my life. Today I am most intrigued by those players in the minor league system who work every day of the year to make it to the Show. This is what this blog is mostly all about. To read more, click here:
