Fall Ball Moves Into Second Week, Connor Seabold Gets Tonight’s Start

The one of the top Phillies starting pitching prospects Connor Seabold gets his second start  for Scottsdale tonight in the Arizona Fall League. He dominated in his first start pitching three shutout innings of one-hit baseball striking out five. He will be facing Mexicali, a team from the Mexican Pacific League.

Look for Spencer Howard to get his second start tomorrow night.  Both Howard and Seabold sit in the Top Ten in WHIP in the Fall League after their first starts. Seabold is second of AFL starters WHIP with a 0.33.

Alec Bohm is third in batting average of all hitter with 10 or more at bats going 7 for 16 for a .438 average.  Mickey Moniak has struggled at the plate hitting .158 going 3 for 19. Nick Maton is hitting .333 going 4 for 12 with a double and a walk off home run.  He is ninth in OPS.

About Baseball Ross

I have been a faithful Phillies follower all my life. Today I am most intrigued by those players in the minor league system who work every day of the year to make it to the Show. This is what this blog is mostly all about. To read more, click here: https://baseballross.wordpress.com/2012/02/05/how-i-got-started-in-baseball/
