Warren, Killgore, Carr, Ross and Gomez Caught Our Attention Out of the Threshers Pen Last Season

Several pitchers out of the Clearwater Threshers bullpen caught our attention last season. Likely they will be pitching at AA Reading or higher when the 2020 season gets started.

Zach Warren

Lefty reliever Zach Warren received the most notice when he struck out the side in one of his outings in a Grapefruit League game. Another lefty, Keylan Killgore showed major league stuff out of the Threshers pen last season and should get a look with Reading to start the season.

On the right side, Tyler Carr stood out and finished the season with Reading striking out six in 2.2 innings in his one appearance at AA. Austin Ross went 5-1 with 4 saves out of the Threshers pen. Michael Gomez was impressive in his 10 relief appearances with Clearwater to end the season with a win and striking out 22 in 18.1 innings.

About Baseball Ross

I have been a faithful Phillies follower all my life. Today I am most intrigued by those players in the minor league system who work every day of the year to make it to the Show. This is what this blog is mostly all about. To read more, click here: https://baseballross.wordpress.com/2012/02/05/how-i-got-started-in-baseball/
