Darick Hall Hits No. 20 as He Leads International League in Home Runs and RBIs

We watched the Phillies struggled last night to score runs while at the same time Darick Hall hit a long blast in the ninth inning to tie up the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs game in Syracuse.

It was Hall’s 20th homer and 67th RBI of the season to start the second half of the International League season. He is on pace to hit 40 homers and drive in 134 runs in for the season.

With Bryce Harper out, likely until September, the Phillies desperately need Hall’s bat in the major league lineup. In last night’s loss, they could only generate three runs in the 5-3 loss to the Atlanta Braves in the battle for a wild card berth.

Hall would fit nicely into either first base or the DH spot in the Phillies lineup hitting behind the hot Kyle Schwarber. He hit his 22nd home run last night in the loss.

If the Phillies have no need for the power bat of Hall, one would think one of the other 29 MLB team would love to have him in the middle of their lineup!

About Baseball Ross

I have been a faithful Phillies follower all my life. Today I am most intrigued by those players in the minor league system who work every day of the year to make it to the Show. This is what this blog is mostly all about. To read more, click here: https://baseballross.wordpress.com/2012/02/05/how-i-got-started-in-baseball/
